Celtic legend Chris Sutton has reacted on Twitter after his former club narrowly beat St Johnstone in the Scottish Cup.
A glancing header from Christopher Jullien in the 81st minute helped Neil Lennon’s side progress into the next round, when it looked like the match would be heading for a 0-0 draw after 90 minutes.
It initially looked as if Ryan Christie’s freekick had gone all the way in, but replays show the towering Frenchman got a touch – he seems to enjoy coming up clutch in the domestic cup competitions, as it was his header which helped down Rangers in the Scottish League Cup final earlier this season.
After full-time, Sutton responded on Twitter.
The ex-Hoops striker, who helped the Bhoys win four Scottish Premier League titles, three Scottish Cups and one Scottish League Cup – he also helped Celtic reach the UEFA Cup final – showed good sportsmanship to congratulate St Johnstone for making it so difficult, amongst other reflective thoughts on the win.
