Tottenham Hotspur have finally found out who their dancing partner will be come the round of 16 of the Champions League in 2019/20.
And to the overwhelming delight of many of the fans, Jose Mourinho’s troops will face RB Leipzig early next year when Europe’s most elite competition returns.
Spurs finished second behind Bayern Munich in their group and can be happy with how things turned out.
Or at least that’s what many of their fans are saying after seeing the final draw just earlier today.
But even more importantly, Spurs also could’ve drawn Barcelona of all teams as it was down to the final two options between the Catalan giants and RB Leipzig.

Needless to say, and with no disrespect towards their current opposition, the fans were simply relieved that they won’t have to travel to the Camp Nou and face Lionel Messi.
And they were not really hiding it at all…
Interestingly enough, Spurs did face the Blaugrana last year in the group stage and they managed to salvage a point across two games against them.
But it’s quite different facing the biggest teams in the group stages and the knockout phases and that’s why the fans were so happy that their team could avoid going head to head with Ernesto Valverde’s troops.
Leipzig definitely shouldn’t be taken lightly, however, and only time will tell if Mourinho has what it takes to go far in the competition.
