However, the test took longer than expected and he could not board the team bus when it left the stadium at 9pm. France ended the group stage with a frustrating draw against Poland. As Austria beat the Netherlands 3-2 in the group's other match, Ralf Rangnick's team went top of the pool while France finished second and the Dutch came in third.
